Using their "Genii in the bottle" act, Steve and his assistant, Crystal Clayton, recently won the 2006 Midwest Magic Jubilee Sr. Stage Competition, held in St. Louis, Mo. this past August. The Jubilee boasts of a long history of stage winners, including Lance Burton. After winning the competition, they were asked to perform in front of the entire convention at the Saturday evening stage show.

On February 3rd, 2007, Steve was named the 2007 Stage Magician of the Year at the Heart of America I.B.M Ring 129 annual Banquet for their "Genii" routine, performing with his assistant, Crystal Clayton. At the same event, Steve and Crystal won the "People's Choice Award" for the second straight year in a row.
